Overview

A visualization study of 5 Manhattan West — the repositioning and re-skin of a full-block structure on Manhattan's far West Side. The sequence carried the transformation from existing envelope to reimagined façade for the AECOM Tishman visualization practice.

The Challenge

Repositioning an occupied, full-block building is as much a story of continuity as of change. The work had to convey the new architectural identity while grounding it in the existing structure.

Creative Direction

Directed as a before-and-after transformation — establishing the mass, then peeling to the new curtain wall so the intervention reads instantly.

Outcomes

  • Communicated a large-scale repositioning to executives and prospective tenants.
  • Extended the studio's visual language from ground-up construction to adaptive reuse.
